]]> Welcome to CookieYes! This guide will walk you through the installation of CookieYes cookie consent banner on your Framer website. A cookie consent banner will help your website stay compliant with privacy laws like the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive.

In case you have already signed up on CookieYes, follow the steps given below:

  • Log in to your CookieYes web application.
  • Head to Advanced Settings and click on the Get Installation Code button on the right side of the URL. (You can access this option from the CookieYes “Dashboard” through the Cookie banner status widget also.)
  • Click on the Copy code button to get the CookieYes installation code.

Note: You can share the code with a developer or your team by clicking the Send code to a teammate button. Enter the email address and then click on Send email. The recipient will get the code and instructions via email.

Steps to add a cookie consent banner on Framer

After configuring CookieYes and copying the installation code, you can integrate the Cookie banner with your Framer website by following the steps given below:

Step 1: Log in to your Framer account and open the website where you want to add the CookieYes banner.

Step 2: Click on the Settings icon in the top-right corner and scroll down to the Custom Code section.

Step 3: Paste the CookieYes code under the Start of <head> tag section and click Save to confirm your changes.

Note: If you are unable to view the Start of <head> tag section, click on the Show Advanced button at the bottom of the page to enable it.

Step 4: Click on Publish at the top-right corner of your screen and hit the Update button.

Note: The ability to add custom codes is available only on Framer’s paid plans.

Step 5: Return to the CookieYes setup screen and click the Verify button. You will see a success message that your banner is active.

The cookie consent banner is now active on your Framer website!

You will receive a verification email shortly, and your first website scan will be initiated automatically. The scan results will show a list of all the cookies used on your site.

If you have already signed up for CookieYes without taking any action on the initial setup screens, head to the CookieYes Dashboard. 

  • To customize the cookie banner, select the Cookie Banner from the top navigation panel.
  • To get the banner installation code, head to Advanced Settings and click on the Get Installation Code button on the right side of the URL. 
  • Now click on the Copy code button to get the CookieYes installation code.

Steps to add cookie consent banner on HubSpot website

Step 1: Log in to your HubSpot account. Click on the Settings icon located in the main navigation bar at the top of the screen.

Step 2: In the left sidebar menu, scroll down to Tools and click Content > Pages.

Step 3: In the Pages section, open the Choose a domain to edit its settings dropdown menu and select a domain for which you want to integrate CookieYes. [if you want to apply the same code to all HubSpot-hosted content, choose Default settings for all domains.]

Step 4: After selecting the domain, navigate to the Templates tab. Locate the Site header HTML field and paste the CookieYes script into the Site header HTML field.

Step 5: Click on the Save button to apply the changes.

Step 6: Head back to the setup screen and click on the Verify button. You will see a success message: “CookieYes is installed on your site!”.

Now you will see the new cookie consent banner on your HubSpot website. From the CookieYes Dashboard, you can complete the website scanning and explore additional customizations and features.

Step 5: Head back to the setup screen and click on the Verify button. You will see a success message “CookieYes is installed on your site!”.

]]> Welcome to CookieYes! This guide will walk you through how you can install a cookie banner on websites using Matomo Tag Manager. A cookie banner will help your website stay compliant with privacy laws like the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive.

To Connect Matomo and CookieYes

Step 1. Navigate to Tag Manager. 

From the Top Navigation Panel of your Matomo Account, click Tag Manager.

Step 2. Create a New Tag.

  1. From the left panel, choose Tags > +CREATE NEW TAG.
  2. Under ‘Choose a type of tag to continue’, select Custom HTML from the list of options.

Step 3. Configure the Tag.

Enter the following fields:

  • Name –  Name the Tag ( here, we’ve named it ‘CookieYes CMP’).
  • Configure what this tag should do – Here, you should insert the CookieYes Installation code.

Note: To get the cookie banner installation code, refer to our guide.

  • Position – Choose Head Start from the dropdown list.
  • Configure when the tag should do this – Choose Page View trigger from the dropdown list.

Your Tag Configuration will be similar to this:

Click the CREATE NEW TAG button.

Step 4. Publish a new version to apply the changes.

Select Publish from the left panel. Name the version and then click Create new version and publish release.

Note: Make sure you’ve added the Matomo Tag Manager script inside the head tag immediately after opening of the <head> tag of your website.

Now, your cookie consent banner is live on your website. To complete the integration of Matomo and CookieYes, refer to the step-by-step instructions below.

To Block Tags Before Cookie Consent

Step 1. Add this code to the header of your website just below the Matomo Tag Manager script. This ensures that your Matomo Tags function only after consent is given to CookieYes.

Here, we’ve used the Analytics Category.

Step 2. Create a New Custom Trigger

  1. From the left panel, choose Triggers > +CREATE NEW TRIGGER.

  2. Under Choose a type of trigger to continue, choose Custom Event from the list of options.

Step 3. Configure the Event Trigger.

Name the Trigger as per your choice. In the Event Name text box, enter the name of the event for which you need to retrieve the value. E.g. analytics-yes

Click on CREATE NEW TRIGGER to save.

Step 4. Add the custom event trigger to the required custom HTML Tag

  1. From the left panel of your Matomo account, select Tags > Click the Tag name that needs to be fired.
  2. Choose the custom event trigger that you have created in Step 2 from the dropdown list. (here, we’ve named the trigger “Analytics”).

Once you’ve added a tag or trigger, ensure to publish a new version to apply your changes.

Similarly, you can configure other tags based on their respective categories, such as Functional, Advertisement etc.

Step 5: Verify Integration.

To check if CookieYes and Matomo are working together, visit your website and ensure that the CookieYes Cookie Consent Banner is visible and cookies are blocked. You can also explore more options and features from the CookieYes Dashboard.
