• Sign Up/ Create a Google Tag Manager Account and set up a container.
• Copy your container ID (e.g., GTM-XXXXXX).

Step 2: Add Google Tag Manager to Your Wix Site

1. Go to your Wix Dashboard → Marketing Integrations.
2. Click Connect under Google Tag Manager.
3. Click Add Google Tag Manager.
4. Enter your GTM container ID.
5. Click Save.

Step 3: Review and Verify GCM Settings in CookieYes

By default, the Support GCM option is enabled. If needed, you can adjust the option ‘Allow Google tags to fire before consent‘ to enable Google tags to trigger before consent, using cookieless pings.

To enable Allow Google tags to fire before consent:

1. From the CookieYes dashboard, navigate to More > Advanced Settings.
2. Under the Consent Mode section, toggle on Allow Google tags to fire before consent.

You can also verify the status of your configuration by clicking the Check now button next to Check GCM status.

Alternatively, you can use the ‘Enable Debug Mode‘ button to display the GCM default status, update status and timing information directly in your browser console.

If the configuration is correct, you will see a success message stating, ‘No error detected’. After connecting GTM, your tags will respect user consent preferences.

1. Go to your Dashboard for the specific site where the CookieYes app is installed.
2. In the left-hand menu, click on Apps > Manage Apps.
   
   
3. Find the CookieYes GDPR Cookie Banner from the Installed apps.
4. Click the More Actions (⋯) button next to the app.
5. Click Delete App.
   
   

Step 2: Cancel the plan (Premium Subscription Users Only)

If you’re a premium subscriber, you must cancel your CookieYes subscription before uninstalling the app from Wix.

When you click the Delete button, a modal will appear notifying you that you need to cancel your app subscription first. To proceed, follow the steps below to cancel your subscription:

1. Click Go to Premium Subscriptions.
   
   
2. In the Premium Subscriptions page, find the App subscription and click the More Actions (⋯) button.
3. Select Cancel App from the dropdown menu.
   
   
4. In the Cancel App Subscription, choose Cancel auto renew and click Cancel Now.
   
   
5. Return to Manage Apps and repeat Step 1 and follow Step 3 to delete the app.

Step 3: Final Step (All Users)

1. A confirmation modal will appear asking for feedback. Choose a reason for deleting the app.
2. Click Delete App to confirm.
